Beyond beautiful light, simple backgrounds and natural, dignified posing, with business portraits I strive to reveal a bit of who these people are away from their jobs–just to add texture and emotional veracity to the picture.
Among my personal projects, Anti-Portraits are what happens when I work intuitively, without planning out shots in advance. Sometimes, I'll loosely attach a theme or perhaps a prop, other times not. Either way, the result are portraits that may eschew the conventions of fine portraiture but always speak volumes about myself, the subject and how we relate to one another.

Given the time and resources most of us expend on sustenance, I approach food with a healthy measure of reverence. Certainly, it's great subject matter, easily elevated beyond its humble essence, and–whether for pay or play–I love taking pictures of nosh.
